Ciao! I'm Laura.
I'm a native Italian speaker, and I teach Italian online to adults who want to use the language in real life — not just study it.
Many people learning Italian already know quite a lot. They understand when someone speaks slowly, they've done the grammar exercises, but when an Italian asks them a question at the market, everything disappears. If that sounds like you, I understand. Speaking a foreign language can feel intimidating, especially when you're afraid of making mistakes.
That's why my lessons start from real situations: ordering at the café, talking to the neighbours, calling the doctor, asking for information. We practise them until they feel natural, and I explain grammar when it actually helps you say what you want to say.
Every learner is different, so I adapt the lessons to your goals and your level. Some learners are moving to Italy, some have an Italian partner or family, some simply love the language. Whatever your reason, we'll work on the Italian that you need.
I speak several languages, and I learned some of them as an adult. So I know from my own experience how it feels to search for words, to get lost in grammar and to feel shy about speaking. That's exactly why I'm patient with my learners. Besides Italian, I also work in English, French, Spanish and Estonian, so if you prefer, I can explain things and support you in Estonian too.
